Dealing with long term injury

Ezeudu (neck) is expected to be out for the foreseeable future, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis: After being placed on injured reserve Saturday with the neck injury that has plagued him for a over a month, head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Ezeudu's injury is a long term one, though it's not expected to be a career threatening one. It seems like the 23-year-old is done for the year and in his absence, Ben Bredeson will continue to operate as the starting left guard moving forward.

Lands on IR

The Giants placed Ezeudu (neck) on injured reserve Saturday.

Analysis: Ezeudu was slated to miss a fourth straight game Sunday due to a neck injury, but he'll now be sidelined for the final four games of the regular season as well. Shane Lemieux (toe) has been ruled out for Week 15, so Nick Gates figures to step up as the Giants' starting right guard while Ezeudu and Lemieux are unavailable.

Will miss fourth consecutive game

Ezeudu (neck) is out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Matt Citak of the Giants' official site reports.

Analysis: Ezeudu will miss his fourth consecutive game and failed to practice in any capacity throughout the week. Shane Lemieux (toe) is also sidelined, leaving Nick Gates as the likely starter at right guard.

Won't play Sunday

Head coach Brian Daboll said Friday that Ezeudu (neck) won't play in Sunday's game against the Eagles, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Analysis: Ezeudu is now slated to miss his third consecutive matchup as a result of the neck injury he sustained back in Week 11 versus Detroit. With Shane Lemieux (toe) also in line to watch from the sidelines Sunday, Nick Gates appears like he'll draw another start at left guard for the Giants.

Out again

Ezeudu (neck) has been ruled out for the Giants' Week 13 game against the Commanders, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Analysis: Ezeudu's absence will mark his second straight due to a neck injury. It is unsurprising, as he was a non-participant at practice all week. His next chance to return will come Week 14 versus the Eagles.

Ruled out

Ezeudu (neck) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against Dallas, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Analysis: Ezeudu wasn't able to practice during Week 12 prep due to a neck injury he presumably picked up a week prior, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out. Starting left guard Shane Lemieux (toe) is also out and Tyre Phillips' (neck) is questionable, so the interior of New York's offensive line may be extremely shorthanded during a tough matchup against Dallas' stout defensive front.
