Detroit Lions running back Mohamed Ibrahim (hip) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. The rookie was carted off the field after suffering a scary lower-body injury in the second half. It's a tough development for the 25-year-old Baltimore native, made worse by the fact that he was injured on his first career touch in his NFL debut. Jahmyr Gibbs and Craig Reynolds will continue to lead the Detroit backfield.

The Detroit Lions re-signed running back Mohamed Ibrahim to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to his agent. Lead back David Montgomery (ribs) was forced out of the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is expected to miss some time. Meanwhile, rookie first-round running back Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) has missed the last two games due to injury. Craig Reynolds was forced into the featured backfield role on Sunday once Montgomery was injured, so Detroit's backfield is pretty thin heading into a Week 7 contest against the Ravens in Baltimore this Sunday. Gibbs is trending in the right direction this weekend, but if he misses a third straight game, Reynolds would be the Lions' primary RB. Along with Ibrahim, the team also has Devine Ozigbo on their practice squad.
