Waived by Carolina

Frazier (arm) was waived from injured reserve by the Panthers with an injury settlement Wednesday, Max Henson of the Panthers' official site reports.

Analysis: Frazier's injury stemmed from a broken arm he suffered during OTAs this offseason, and was consequently let go. He has suited up for one game in each of the previous two years for the Panthers. After undergoing a surgical repair Frazier's timetable for a return is unknown.

Analysis: He recently suffered a broken arm during OTAs and remains without a timetable for a return. Brown has suited up for one game in each of the previous two years for the Panthers. This move means he won't count against the team's 90-man roster.

Suffers arm injury

Frazier suffered a broken arm at OTAs Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Analysis: This is a tough break for the 25-year-old who saw 33 snaps in the final game of the regular season last year. The team was high on Frazier heading into last season, as he led the team in touchdowns during the preseason. Following the injury, Frazier will undergo surgery to repair the injury, and his timeable for a return is unknown.

Gets opportunity in win

Frazier played 33 offensive snaps but received no targets in Sunday's win over New Orleans, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Analysis: Coach Ron Rivera said that Devin Funchess was sat in part to clear snaps for Frazier, who hadn't played all season. Frazier didn't do much to impress in his only action of the year, though the lack of targets meant he didn't get any significant opportunities to make a play on a pass. Barring significant improvement Frazier is likely looking at a depth role once again in 2019.

Joins active roster

Frazier was promoted to the active roster Wednesday, Max Henson of the team's official site reports.

Analysis: Frazier became the recipient of the open roster spot left behind Greg Olsen's (foot) placement on IR. It's unlikely Frazier will be used in the offense, but the 25-year-old does have familiarity with offensive schemes having been on the practice squad for the majority of the season.
