Phillip Dorsett, Michael Bandy Headed To Active Roster

Denver Broncos wide receivers Phillip Dorsett and Michael Bandy have been added to the active roster ahead of the Week 17 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Normally, this won't be noteworthy, but it is due to the current state of the Broncos' wideouts. Right now, Denver will be without Courtland Sutton (concussion) while Jerry Jeudy (illness) and Marvin Mims Jr. (hamstring) are questionable for this game. The fact that the Broncos added two receivers to the roster means that the team is preparing to be without both Jeudy and Mims on Sunday. Regardless, it's tough to imagine any of the Broncos receivers having fantasy value with quarterback Russell Wilson on the bench.

Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Phillip Dorsett Elevated To Active Roster

The Broncos elevated wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of the Week 1 matchup against the Raiders. The wideout signed with Denver early in the offseason after appearing in 24 games for the Saints and Patriots since 2019. He wasn't very productive while suiting up for those teams, amassing 18 catches for 315 yards and three touchdowns. The club also added veteran wide receiver Phillip Dorsett to the 53-man roster on Saturday. Although neither player is expected to do much for fantasy managers, the promotions could mean that Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) won't be out there on Sunday.

Broncos Sign Phillip Dorsett To Their Practice Squad

The Denver Broncos signed free-agent wide receiver Phillip Dorsett to their practice squad on Wednesday, according to a source. Dorsett will stay in the AFC West after he was released by the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday. The former first-round selection of the Indianapolis Colts in 2015 out of Miami played in 15 games (four starts) for the Houston Texans in 2022, catching 20 of his 40 targets for 257 yards and one touchdown. For now, the 30-year-old will be bringing some extra receiver depth to Denver with Tim Patrick (Achilles) already out for the year and Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) potentially questionable for the Week 1 showdown against the division-rival Raiders on Sept. 10.

Raiders Release Keelan Cole Sr., Phillip Dorsett

The Las Vegas Raiders informed wide receivers Keelan Cole Sr. and Phillip Dorsett of their release from the team on Monday. Both were considered contenders to make the 53-man roster but ultimately didn't crack the lineup. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, both players could re-sign with the team as a member of the practice squad. Dorsett caught 20 passes for 257 yards and a touchdown with the Houston Texans last season. Cole caught 10 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown with the Raiders in 2022. For now, neither player is close to being on the fantasy radar given the latest news.

Phillip Dorsett Goes For 76 Yards Against Rams

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Phillip Dorsett caught four-of-five targets for 76 receiving yards during the team's 34-17 preseason win over the Rams on Saturday. Dorsett led his team through the air in the game, highlighted by a 43-yard catch and run in the second quarter. The journeyman will play a complementary role this season with the Raiders in a crowded receiving room that includes Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, and Hunter Renfrow. He should only be drafted in the deepest of leagues.
