Let go by Titans

Lewis was released by the Titans on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Analysis: Lewis spent last season with the Titans' practice squad before signing a reserve/future contract with the team in late 2018. He likely would have been considered a long shot to make the final roster heading into training camp.

Signs to Titans practice squad

Lewis is signing a practice squad deal with the Titans, Paul Kuharsky of 104.5 The Zone Nashville reports.

Analysis: Lewis spent his first two NFL seasons with the Giants and has experience both on offense and special teams. He could wind up promoted or signed to an active roster down the road, but he will remain on the practice squad for the time being.

Hitting the road

The Giant are cutting Lewis on Saturday, Jordan Raanan of reports.

Analysis: Lewis took on a significant workload last season within a banged-up Giants receiving corps, totaling 36 catches for 416 yards and two touchdowns. That said, he posted a miserable 5.8 YPT, and seemingly was unable to impress the new coaching staff during the offseason program or preseason slate. He'll look to latch on elsewhere as a depth wideout.
