Aaron Jones Sr. Held to 30 Scrimmage Yards in First Game Back From Injury

Friday, October 24, 10:11 AM

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. returned in Week 8 from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for four games. The 30-year-old had a quiet game in his team's 37-10 Week 8 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, recording five carries for 15 yards and hauling in two catches for 15 yards on four targets. It was a miserable night for the Minnesota offense overall, as it recorded just 164 yards of total offense. On the positive side for Jones Sr., he earned more total touches (seven) than fellow Vikings running back Jordan Mason (five). That could change in future weeks when Minnesota has a more neutral or positive game script. Most likely, Jones Sr. and Mason will split backfield work relatively equally, making the Vikings' backfield a difficult one for fantasy managers to parse.

Kyren Williams Looks to Extend Touchdown Streak Against Jacksonville

Saturday, October 18, 11:42 AM

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams has scored a touchdown in back-to-back games and will look to extend his streak against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7. The 25-year-old has a firm grasp on the lead-back role in Los Angeles, handling 39 touches over the last two games compared to Blake Corum's six. Williams has been efficient on the ground with 4.4 yards per carry and has also taken on a bigger receiving role with 10 catches and two receiving touchdowns over his last two games. The Jaguars rank near the middle of the league in terms of fantasy points allowed to running backs, so we don't expect Williams to run into any challenges that he can't handle. He remains a high-end RB2 for Week 7.
