Aaron Rodgers Looked Better Than the Stat Sheet in Week 2

Tuesday, September 16, 4:02 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a fantasy letdown in Week 2 after throwing four touchdowns in the season opener. He completed just 18 of 33 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the 31-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. However, the box score doesn't tell the whole story. In the first quarter, Rodgers delivered a perfect 50-yard strike while on the run that was dropped by tight end Pat Freiermuth. He was later picked off in the end zone on a pass that bounced off the hands of wide receiver Calvin Austin III. While his second interception was on an errant throw, it came late in the game with Pittsburgh down two scores and desperately trying to push the ball downfield. At 41, Rodgers' best days may be behind him, but he still appears to be a quality QB. Fantasy managers should view him as a bounce-back candidate against the New England Patriots in Week 3.

Tee Higgins Looking to Bounce Back from Subpar Week 1 Effort

Saturday, September 13, 11:21 AM

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins caught three of his four targets for 33 yards in the win over the Cleveland Browns. The wideout has been known to have some off weeks throughout his career. However, he wasn't the only one who struggled, with Joe Burrow throwing for 113 yards. Teammate, Ja'Marr Chase, didn't play much better, with the former LSU Tiger amassing only two grabs. All things considered, the Bengals likely did some work during the week leading up to Sunday's clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars, meaning there is a good chance the offense turns it around. While that doesn't mean Higgins will see the most attention from Burrow in Week 2, there's still reason to believe he'll perform at a higher level, considering Sunday's contest may be the highest-scoring game on the schedule.
