Alvin Kamara Misses Practice Again on Thursday

Thursday, December 4, 4:42 PM

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) missed his second consecutive practice on Thursday due to ankle and knee injuries, per Sara Palczewski of Louisiana First News. Kamara suffered a sprained MCL in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons and missed the Saints' Week 13 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Based on his lack of practice participation so far this week, it appears the 30-year-old could be trending towards his second straight missed game in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Kamara sidelined, Saints rookie running back Devin Neal served as the team's RB1 against Miami, recording 69 scrimmage yards on 17 touches. Neal profiles as a low-end RB2/high-end flex option for fantasy managers in Week 14 if Kamara does indeed remain out.

Jahmyr Gibbs News

Jahmyr Gibbs Scores Three Times on Thursday Night Football

Friday, December 5, 12:32 AM

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs had 12 carries for 43 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns during Thursday's Week 14 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He also caught all seven of his targets for an additional 77 receiving yards. The 24-year-old's explosive season continues, as he has now recorded three-touchdown performances in three of the last five weeks. He's a top-three running back in PPR scoring this year with a whopping 58 catches so far. He also has 16 touchdowns and over 1,500 scrimmage yards. David Montgomery remains a factor in Detroit, but clearly, this backfield belongs to Gibbs. He should continue to be viewed as a high-end RB1 going forward, even in non-PPR leagues. He'll look to build on his success in 10 days against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15.
