Commanders Work Out James Robinson And Boston Scott

Tuesday, November 26, 6:08 PM

The Washington Commanders have brought in free agent running backs James Robinson and Boston Scott for workouts. The Commanders are thin at running back with Austin Ekeler (concussion) and Brian Robinson Jr. (ankle) both exiting the team's Week 12 loss to the Dallas Cowboys with injuries. Robinson and Scott have both enjoyed success in the past. Robinson most recently played in one game for the Green Bay Packers in 2023 while providing depth on their practice squad. He is known for rushing for 1,070 yards and seven touchdowns as an undrafted rookie running back in 2020. Scott spent the first six years of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles. He spent time on the practice squads of both the Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason. Both players are quality backs that would provide a steady veteran presence in the locker room. Neither would move the needle much in fantasy. Instead, fantasy managers should turn to Jeremy McNichols as insurance in the Commanders' backfield.

J.K. Dobbins Positioned for Another Strong Season in Denver

Friday, March 27, 5:49 AM

Running back J.K. Dobbins recently agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal to return to a Denver Broncos team that he led in rushing in 2025 despite missing the final seven games of the season. Denver had made upgrading the position a public priority before essentially returning the same unit from last year. With the Broncos picking comfortably outside of the range to add an impact rookie like Jeremiyah Love, the team looks to be heading into 2026 with Dobbins, RJ Harvey, and Jaleel McLaughlin again topping the depth chart. Dobbins was easily the most effective runner of that group in 2025, averaging nearly a yard and a half more per carry than Harvey, and pacing toward 1,300 rushing yards before his Week 10 foot injury. Denver returns all five starters from an offensive line that has regularly been considered among the best in the league, and they made a splash by trading for former Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle, a move that should elevate the entire offense.
