Dak Prescott News

Dak Prescott Held Under 200 Passing Yards, Tosses Pick In Loss

Sunday, September 13, 8:10 PM

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had an ugly night in the Cowboys season opener against the New York Giants. He wasn't able to muster up 200 passing yards, and threw an interception while being held scoreless in the first half of play. New York dominated time of possession, which limited Prescott to just 34 pass attempts. He completed only 22 for a paltry 5.1 yards per pass attempt. The abysmal average led Dallas to only muster 244 yards of offense, 150 less than their opponent. Two carries for 14 yards on the ground weren't enough to make up for his low passing production. It was a strangely terrible night for the offense, which did extremely well last year under then first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer. Perhaps that offense has been solved. We'll learn more to that effect in Week 2, when the Cowboys return home to face another bitter divisional rival, the Washington Commanders.

Tyler Shough News

Tyler Shough a High-Upside Waiver-Wire Target Following Explosive Week 1

Monday, September 14, 1:00 PM

New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough shook off a rough first half to post a monster performance in his team's Week 1 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions, completing 35 of 56 pass attempts for 410 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Turnovers were an issue for Shough, as he also lost a fumble in addition to throwing the two picks. However, the 26-year-old nearly led his team all the way back from a 21-point deficit by leading touchdown drives on four of the Saints' final six possessions of the game. Shough was impressive down the stretch of the 2025 season after taking over as the Saints' QB1 in Week 9, throwing for over 1,300 yards and collecting eight total touchdowns over the team's final five games. If Week 1 is any indication, he could be in line for a year-2 breakout in 2026. Shough profiles as a must-start quarterback in two-QB formats, and he's worth targeting on the waiver wire in 12-team, single-QB fantasy leagues as well.
