Dallas Goedert Could See Ball More Under New Offensive Coordinator

Wednesday, June 25, 12:04 PM

Philadelphia Phillies tight end Dallas Goedert said on ESPN's NFL Live that new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo is expanding the ways that quarterback Jalen Hurts can get him the ball. "I'm really excited for Kevin," Goedert said. "He's been with us since Nick Sirianni got here. He's waited his turn to get this opportunity. Throughout OTAs, I've really loved what he's doing with the offense. Little changes here and there and I'm really excited for the opportunity just to with the connection I grew with him the last four years. What he sees in me in different ways that he's going to get me the ball I'm really excited for." It's worth taking note of, but at best, Goedert will remain the No. 3 target for Hurts behind wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, while running back Saquon Barkley will also remain heavily involved. Goedert played in only 10 regular-season games due to injuries in 2024 and will be on the TE1/2 borderline in fantasy drafts this fall.

Saints Re-Sign Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Thursday, February 13, 5:55 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the New Orleans Saints re-signed running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday. Edwards-Helaire began the 2024 season with the Kansas City Chiefs but opened the year on the Non-Football Illness list while dealing with mental-health issues. The former 32nd overall pick by the Chiefs in 2020 out of LSU never played in a regular-season game for KC last year before being waived in December and picked up by the Saints as additional depth for a banged-up backfield. The 25-year-old ended up playing in two games for the Saints, carrying the ball 13 times for 46 yards and adding three catches for 24 yards. CEH, who has averaged 4.2 yards per carry in his five NFL seasons, will now work out with New Orleans this offseason and attempt to win a roster spot in training camp. He'll be facing an uphill battle for a significant role on offense in 2025.
