Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert caught two of four targets for 25 yards during the team's 34-31 overtime win over the Washington Commanders. While the matchup was terrible on paper for the 28-year-old tight end, 2023 has not been a fun ride overall for fantasy managers. Goedert has caught 13 of 19 targets for just 88 yards through four games, averaging just 6.8 yards per reception. For context, the sixth-year tight end caught 16 of 20 targets for 240 yards and a touchdown through the first four games last season. The matchup for Goedert doesn't get any better next week, as the Rams' defense is top-tier against fantasy tight ends thus far in 2023. It would be best to look for a different option until the Eagles can find a way to involve their talented tight end properly.

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta caught four of his five targets for 56 yards in the Thursday Night Football win over the Green Bay Packers. It wasn't a massive boom performance for the rookie tight end, but it should keep fantasy managers in PPR leagues afloat ahead of the full Week 4 slate. LaPorta has seen at least five targets in all of his contests, which is more than can be said about a large chunk of the available tight ends on the waiver wire. He is a must-start in all matchups after being the fantasy TE2 through the first three weeks of the season.
