Dare Ogunbowale Gets Into the End Zone on Sunday Night Football

Monday, December 8, 8:06 AM

Houston Texans running back Dare Ogunbowale only had one carry on Sunday against the Chiefs, but he took that carry five yards for one of the team's two touchdowns of the night. The Texans extended their winning streak with a huge 20-10 win on the road in Kansas City, and Ogunbowale was more involved than usual since he helped fill in after Nick Chubb (rib) left with an injury in the first half. Ogunbowale could help fill in the gap if Chubb misses time moving forward, although Woody Marks carried the load on Sunday with 26 carries and two catches. The Texans trust Ogunbowale near the goal line and he's a solid receiver, so he'd be an interesting option if he got significant playing time in the next few weeks.

Braelon Allen Could Miss 8-12 Weeks, May Need Surgery

Friday, October 3, 11:54 AM

According to head coach Aaron Glenn, New York Jets running back Braelon Allen (knee) could miss 8-12 weeks with the MCL sprain he suffered in Week 4's loss to the Miami Dolphins. Reports were that Allen would miss more than the minimum number of required games, but it now appears he'll be out until at least December, with surgery still an option. In the 21-year-old's absence, teammate Isaiah Davis will take over the Jets' RB2 duties behind starter Breece Hall, and the newly-acquired Khalil Herbert will handle the RB3 role with Kene Nwangwu (hamstring) still tending to injury. Fantasy managers can safely drop Allen in all redraft formats as the likelihood of him making an impact to close out the 2025 season remains low.
