Houston Texans running back Devin Singletary saw his rushing opportunities take a hit with the return of Dameon Pierce but was efficient enough with his receptions to not burn fantasy managers. Singletary converted six carries into 18 yards and six catches into 54. Pierce, the starter before his ankle injury, was given just six total opportunities. The Texans were playing from behind the majority of the afternoon and also ran ten fewer plays than the Jaguars. It was an encouraging sign that Singletary still received the lion's share of the backfield work, even if there weren't a lot of touches to go around. The Texans face the Denver Broncos in Week 13, who allow chunk yardage on the ground. Expect Singletary to be in the RB2 range again for that matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. The fourth-year running back will not suit up in Germany for the Chiefs' highly-anticipated game against the Dolphins. Edwards-Helaire has barely been involved in the offense over the last five weeks so this doesn't have much of a fantasy impact. He has just 33 rushes for 109 yards and a touchdown to go along with six catches for 36 yards on the season. It will be the Isiah Pacheco show for Kansas City as they look to get back in the win column in Week 9.
