Is DJ Moore the Top Fantasy Receiver in Buffalo?

Sunday, April 12, 10:25 AM

Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore is coming off a subpar season, but this past offseason's trade should bode well for his fantasy outlook going forward. Moore was held to a modest 50 catches, 682 yards, and six touchdowns as a Chicago Bear in 2025, ranking as the overall WR35 in PPR leagues. That was Moore's worst single-season fantasy finish since his rookie campaign in 2018, when he was the WR39. It seemed as though the 28-year-old simply fell out of favor in head coach Ben Johnson's new-look Bears offense last year. The veteran receiver dropped below Luther Burden III, Rome Odunze, and Colston Loveland in the pecking order, so when the Bears were offered a second-round pick for him, they pounced on the opportunity. It was a somewhat pricey addition for the Bills, but it should elevate their offense and give them a true WR1. He'll immediately become Josh Allen's favorite target, surpassing Khalil Shakir on the depth chart. Moore is under contract through 2029, so he has a relatively favorable fantasy outlook. There are worse things than operating as Josh Allen's favorite target for four consecutive years, so as long as he stays healthy, Moore could return to his pre-2025 form going forward. He's an intriguing buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues this offseason.

Packers "Clearing the Way" for Matthew Golden on WR Depth Chart

Wednesday, April 15, 10:45 AM

The Green Bay Packers are "clearing the way" for wide receiver Matthew Golden to move up the depth chart as he heads into his second season in the NFL, writes Rob Demovsky of ESPN. The Packers let Romeo Doubs walk in free agency and then recently traded Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers never made Golden, a first-rounder (23rd overall) in 2025, a focal point of the offense last year, and he finished with just 29 catches for 361 yards and no touchdowns in 14 regular-season games. Golden caught four passes for 84 yards and his first career touchdown reception in the playoff loss to the Chicago Bears. "I think his ceiling is very, very high. We're very, very excited about what he's going to do for our football team moving forward," general manager Brian Gutekunst said. Christian Watson will be the Packers' No. 1 wideout and big-play threat, but he's also been very injury-prone in his career. Jayden Reed is also expected to have a bigger role, but with both Doubs and Wicks out of town, Golden should be much more involved in 2026 after he let his frustration with his rookie role be known. In single-year leagues, Golden will be a WR4/flex option with big-play abilities and still plenty of upside.
