Dontayvion Wicks Breaks Out for Two Touchdowns on Thanksgiving

Friday, November 28, 12:27 AM

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks posted his best game of the season against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving, recording six catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets. Wicks scored for the first time in 10 games this season, and more than doubled his previous season high of 44 receiving yards, which came back in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders. The six receptions also matched a career high for the 24-year-old wideout and played a key role in Green Bay pulling out the win. After having major drop issues last season, Wicks has only dropped one pass on 41 targets this season and came down with multiple tough catches against the Lions, including a crucial contested 16-yard snag on fourth down to seal the victory with less than two minutes left in the game. Wicks is emerging as a reliable target for quarterback Jordan Love and could continue to see more opportunities moving forward.

Adonai Mitchell Carving Out Role with New Team

Saturday, November 29, 12:40 AM

New York Jets wide receiver Adonai Mitchell will look to be more in sync with quarterback Tyrod Taylor in Week 13 against a mercurial Atlanta Falcons defense. Mitchell has seen a solid target share since debuting with the Jets two weeks back, absorbing 24% of the passes thrown between Taylor and Justin Fields. However, the second-year pro connected on only three of his 13 targets (52 yards), despite consistently working open against opposing DBs. While Atlanta's back end is no walk in the park, Mitchell should continue to work in a sort of 1A/1B tandem with teammate John Metchie III, and see enough work to be a decent dart throw for fantasy as New York's offense attempts to gain traction. The Texas native has enough ability as a separator to make an impact, but fantasy managers in shallower leagues may want to give it some more time before slotting him into their lineups. Mitchell is RotoBaller's PPR WR63 ahead of Sunday's bout with the Falcons.
