San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro has played his way into being one of the more valuable kickers in fantasy football in 2025. Unsigned until the 49ers brought him in to replace the erratic Jake Moody after Week 1, Pineiro ranks fifth in both total fantasy points and fantasy points per game. In last week's slog against the Houston Texans, Pineiro's only opportunity was a single extra point try, which he converted. On the season, he is 10-for-11 on extra points and a perfect 17-for-17 on field goal attempts. In Week 9, the 49ers square off against the New York Giants, who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing kickers. Pineiro is a relatively safe bet for fantasy production out of the kicker slot and can be included in starting lineups in Week 9.

Washington Commanders kicker Matt Gay (back) has been cleared from the injury report and is set to return for Sunday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. Gay missed last week's matchup against the Chiefs, but will only end up missing only one game due to the back injury. The 31-year-old has been solid for Washington in seven games this season, making 10 of 14 attempts and all 18 extra points. However, Gay has been a little shaky from 50 or more yards, with those being three of his four misses. Gay should have more opportunities on Sunday with Jayden Daniels back in the lineup and projects as a decent fantasy option.
