Geno Smith Rebounds In Week 2 Against Lions

Monday, September 18, 5:47 AM

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith went 32-for-41 for 328 passing yards and 2 touchdowns and had 20 rushing yards on three carries against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. It is the fifth time since the start of 2022 that he has thrown for 300 or more yards while maintaining a 70% completion rate. His touchdown passes both went to wide receiver Tyler Lockett. The first came in the fourth quarter to give the Seahawks a 24-21 lead. The second ended the game in overtime after Smith marched the Seahawks down the field on their first possession of the extra period. The 32-year-old veteran will look to flirt with QB1 numbers again when Seattle hosts the Carolina Panthers.

Dak Prescott Plays Very Well In A Week 2 Win

Sunday, September 17, 8:06 PM

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott played very well in a Week 2 win over the New York Jets. Prescott wasn't asked to do much in the Week 1 slaughter of the Giants, but he did a lot more against the Jets. He completed 31 of his 38 pass attempts for 255 yards and two touchdowns. He added six rushes for 14 yards total, and only took one sack for a seven yard loss. The Cowboys elite defense should consistently give the offense chances to score on short fields. Prescott should be a solid option again in Week 3 when the Cowboys take on the Cardinals in Arizona.
