Cowboys Head Coach "Very in Favor" of Signing George Pickens Long Term

Wednesday, November 19, 11:12 AM

Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said on Tuesday that he is "very in favor" of the team signing wide receiver George Pickens to a long-term contract extension, per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. The Cowboys acquired Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers this past offseason but have not yet locked him into a contract beyond the 2025 season. Across 10 games in his first season in Dallas, the 24-year-old has recorded 58 catches for 908 yards and seven touchdowns on 83 targets. Pickens is on pace for career-high marks across the board and appears to be the perfect complement to star Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb. However, Pickens has a history of off-field issues and was benched for the first offensive series of Dallas' Week 11 win over the Las Vegas Raiders for reasons that remain unclear. Still, Schottenheimer has remained effusive in his praise of Pickens and is apparently on board with continuing to work with him in the years to come.

Zach Charbonnet a Good Bet to Find the End Zone in Week 12

Friday, November 21, 6:43 PM

Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet will be a touchdown-dependent flex option once again when the Seahawks clash with the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. However, despite his touchdown-dependent status, Charbonnet has a great chance to score this week. The Titans are No. 22 in points allowed to opposing running backs in fantasy this season. They have also allowed 12 rushing touchdowns to running backs, which is good for 31st in the league. This team does not have much going for it on the defensive line, and Charbonnet could reap the benefits. Seattle will surely find itself in the red zone numerous times throughout this game. Charbonnet is the clear goal line back for this team, and he will likely receive multiple opportunities inside the five-yard line. If you are desperate for a running back start, Charbonnet could deliver for you in Week 12. It is worth noting that fellow running back Kenneth Walker III (glute) popped up on the injury report on Friday. If Walker were to sit or be limited, Charbonnet would be an automatic start this week.
