New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is active and will operate as the team's backup for Week 1 against the Washington Commanders. Meanwhile, Jameis Winston is inactive as the team's emergency third quarterback. This depth chart decision from the coaching staff aligns with recent rumors that indicated Dart may have earned the backup job and could even make his NFL debut in Week 1. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport recently noted that the Giants have a package of plays ready for Dart, so it's possible that he could relieve starter Russell Wilson for a handful of snaps on Sunday afternoon. Still, Dart is merely a dynasty stash at this point, as he'd need to be inserted as the full-time starter before warranting any interest in redraft leagues. Meanwhile, Winston should be left on waivers in all leagues.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has played some of the best football of his career through the first six weeks of the season, completing 71.6% of his pass attempts for 1,617 yards, 13 touchdowns, and three interceptions. The Cowboys have been one of the highest-scoring teams in the NFL, averaging 29.7 points per game. Dallas should find itself in another shootout in a Week 7 matchup against the Washington Commanders. Through six games, Washington's defense ranks dead last in the NFL in yards per reception allowed (13.0). Additionally, Prescott and the Cowboys will welcome wideout CeeDee Lamb (ankle) back to the lineup after his three-game absence due to a high-ankle sprain. Prescott profiles as a must-start fantasy quarterback in Week 7 against Washington.
