James Cook III News

James Cook III Working on Ball Security

Friday, June 12, 5:28 AM

After missing the media-accessible portions of organized team activities, Buffalo Bills running back James Cook III has been a full-go at this week's mandatory minicamp, and the reigning rushing king told reporters on Wednesday that one of his goals for 2026 is to take better care of the football. Cook fumbled six times in 2025, with three resulting in turnovers, after putting the ball on the ground only once in 2024, resulting in a league-leading 16 rushing touchdowns. If Cook can help to keep more drives alive and resulting in points, the fantasy ceiling rises even higher for a player who has also caught 109 passes over the past three seasons. With Joe Brady moving from offensive coordinator to head coach, there's a natural expectation that he will lean on his three-time Pro Bowl running back during the transition, and with a fourth straight top-12 fantasy finish a very realistic possibility, the 26-year-old Cook is RotoBaller's dynasty RB7.

De'Von Achane News

De'Von Achane Doing Individual Drills at Minicamp

Wednesday, June 3, 10:53 AM

Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said that running back De'Von Achane (shoulder) has been limited to individual drills during mandatory minicamp this week, according to Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Achane is being eased back into offseason workouts after he had a clean-up procedure on a shoulder injury that caused him to miss the regular-season finale last year. All signs point to the star RB being fully ready for training camp and the start of the 2026 regular season, though, so fantasy managers should have nothing to worry about. The Dolphins put their money where their mouth is this offseason, signing the 24-year-old former third-rounder to a four-year, $68 million extension last month. Achane had his first 1,000-yard rushing season with eight rushing touchdowns in 16 starts in 2025 in his third year in the NFL despite the Dolphins' offense struggling all year. More offensive struggles could be coming as Miami rebuilds, but Achane should have a high floor thanks to heavy volume in the Dolphins' backfield in 2026. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 7 fantasy RB in redraft formats.
