Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (finger, rib) was placed on the injured reserve on Thursday. The 27-year-old is dealing with multiple injuries that are going to force him to miss the first four weeks of the regular season. However, Wilson's agent expects Wilson to return ahead of the Week 5 matchup against the New York Giants. That is great news considering the team didn't offer much of a timetable for Wilson's return. The Dolphins might only be without Wilson for four games, which isn't too bad. In his absence, Raheem Mostert and rookie De'Von Achane (shoulder) are expected to have bigger roles in the offense.

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders heads into Week 3 looking for his first touchdown of the season after posting 115 scoreless rushing yards over two games. He will look to change that in Week 3's road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has been generous to opposing running backs in fantasy this season, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to the position. Sanders has a good shot at getting into the end zone in what sets up as a favorable matchup for him in Week 3. Treat him as a mid-range RB2 this weekend.
