Jonathan Taylor Has Another Enormous Showing Against Arizona

Sunday, October 12, 8:51 PM

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor carried the ball 21 times for 123 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown during Sunday's Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He also caught all four of his targets for an additional 14 receiving yards. Taylor has been one of the most productive running backs this season, scoring eight touchdowns over his last five games and ranking as the overall RB1 in standard and half-PPR scoring. (He is the RB2 behind Christian McCaffrey in PPR leagues.) As long as Indianapolis continues to consistently operate from a neutral or positive game script, there will be plenty of opportunities for Taylor to produce. This is far from the last 20-carry, 100-yard game we'll see from the 26-year-old in 2025. He remains a high-end RB1 option heading into Week 7 against the Chargers.

Elijah Mitchell a Healthy Scratch Against Chargers

Friday, September 5, 7:20 PM

Kansas City Chiefs running back Elijah Mitchell is a healthy inactive for the Week 1 regular-season opener on Friday night in Brazil against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers, according to Nate Taylor of ESPN. It's bad news for Mitchell heading into his first year with the Chiefs, as it looks like he's the RB4 to open the year, behind starter Isiah Pacheco, Kareem Hunt and rookie Brashard Smith. The 27-year-old was getting some first-team reps early in training camp, but that was a long time ago in late July. Mitchell signed a one-year, $2.5 million deal with KC in the offseason after spending his first three NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. In his three years in the Bay Area, the former sixth-rounder in 2021 out of Louisiana averaged 4.7 yards per tote on 327 rush attempts for 1,523 yards and nine touchdowns (five in his rookie season).
