Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs (hip) didn't take the field for Wednesday's practice session. Downs sat out in Week 7 due to a concussion, but made his return to the field last weekend. He hauled in all three of his targets for 39 yards with a touchdown in the win over the Tennessee Titans. It's worth noting that Downs was on the field for a season-high 64 percent of the offensive snaps last weekend. When healthy, Downs appears to be earning more playing time in Indy. Fantasy managers should monitor his status throughout the week. Downs should be able to offer flex value for the Week 9 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas remains an unappealing fantasy option heading into Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns. Outside of a strong Week 6 against the Saints, Douglas has massively underwhelmed this season, catching just 13 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns. He has routinely been out-snapped by Kayshon Boutte, Stefon Diggs, and Mack Hollins, making it difficult for him to carve out any sort of fantasy relevance. The 24-year-old is especially concerning this week as he takes on the Cleveland Browns, who have allowed the 15th-fewest fantasy points to slot receivers in 2025. Douglas can be left on waivers in most formats.
