Joshua Palmer Sits Out Wednesday, Ankle Injury Keeps Him Week-to-Week

Wednesday, October 22, 2:47 PM

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Joshua Palmer (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice as the team returned from its bye, and head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that Palmer is considered week-to-week. The veteran receiver has quietly carved out a role in Buffalo's revamped passing attack, appearing in every game this season and posting 14 receptions for 234 yards while operating as a reliable secondary option for Josh Allen. However, his recovery timeline remains uncertain, and the Bills may choose to be cautious to avoid a longer-term setback. With Dalton Kincaid, Keon Coleman, and Khalil Shakir firmly established as the top three targets in the offense, Palmer offers limited fantasy upside even when healthy. For now, he should remain on the waiver wire in standard formats, though he may warrant monitoring in deeper leagues if his role expands later in the season.

Dillon Gabriel Shows Little Upside in Week 7 Win

Tuesday, October 21, 9:59 PM

Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel completed 13 of his 18 passes for 116 scoreless yards while adding four carries for 12 yards in a 31-6 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 7. As has become customary over his three starts, Gabriel operated as a game-manager for the Cleveland offense as they leaned heavily on the rushing attack. The rookie quarterback has now thrown for 546 yards and three touchdowns while completing 59.8% of his passes and throwing zero interceptions through five games. He will look to raise his fantasy ceiling in a Week 8 road matchup against the New England Patriots. The Patriots have been solid on defense this season, allowing the fifth-fewest points per game in the league at 19.0 per game. Gabriel sets up as a low-end QB2 in a week with six teams on bye.
