Julio Jones News

A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Julio Jones All Limited

Wednesday, November 29, 8:10 PM

Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers A.J. Brown (thigh), DeVonta Smith (knee) and Julio Jones (knee) were all listed as limited participants at Wednesday's practice. All three wideouts should be just fine for the Week 13 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday, but their statuses bear watching regardless. Even in a tough matchup against one of the NFL's best defenses, Brown and Smith are must-starts each and every week in fantasy lineups in Philly's high-scoring offense. Brown and Smith played 94% and 98% of the offensive snaps, respectively, in Week 12's overtime win over the Buffalo Bills. Jones played a season-high 71% of the snaps Brown ranks as the WR5 on the year in half-PPR scoring, while Smith checks in at WR18 through 12 weeks.

Russell Gage News

Russell Gage Officially Placed On Injured Reserve

Sunday, August 20, 8:44 PM

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage (knee) has officially been placed on the injured reserve on Sunday. Gage will miss the entire 2023 campaign after suffering a torn patellar tendon during Wednesday's joint practice with the New York Jets. The 27-year-old dealt with multiple injuries last season that limited him to 13 games. He finally looked healthy during training camp, but unfortunately suffered this season-ending injury. Gage will now sit out his third and final year of his contract with Tampa Bay. The Bucs already have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin locked into the first two receiver spots. However, the third wideout job is completely wide open right now. It'll be interesting to see if someone is able to set themselves apart during the final preseason game.
