Kayshon Boutte News
Saturday, August 15, 9:24 AM
New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte made another big play at practice Saturday, hauling in a twirling sideline catch on a 40-yard throw while working against Carlton Davis III, according to Andrew Callahan. Boutte was quiet in Thursday's preseason opener, playing 16 offensive snaps with the backups and going without a target, but he's been much more noticeable on the practice field. He caught 33 passes for 551 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games last season, averaging 16.7 yards per catch, fifth-best in the NFL. That big-play ability has shown up again throughout camp. The problem for Boutte is still finding regular snaps in a receiver room now led by A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs and DeMario Douglas. New England's unofficial depth chart currently lists him behind Brown. One more highlight catch doesn't change that, but Boutte keeps giving the Patriots reasons to find ways to get him on the field.

Adonai Mitchell News
Wednesday, August 12, 11:08 AM
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler writes that wide receiver Adonai Mitchell "should not be overlooked," and that the New York Jets are looking for him to make "a sizable jump" in 2026. Garrett Wilson is the clear-cut No. 1 receiver in New York, but Mitchell "seems to be moving past whatever was holding him back in 1 1/2 seasons" with the Indianapolis Colts to begin his NFL career. The 23-year-old former second-rounder in 2024 from the University of Texas is going to probably have to prove it to be taken more seriously in 12-team fantasy leagues during the regular season, but it's no secret that he's been gaining chemistry with veteran quarterback Geno Smith in training camp this summer, and he's also in a contract yet. In eight games with the Colts last year before he was traded to the Jets, Mitchell caught nine passes for 152 yards and zero touchdowns, before catching 24 of 58 targets for 301 yards and two touchdowns in eight contests with the Jets. He's viewed as New York's clear WR2 right now, which makes him a sleeper late in upcoming drafts.
