Keon Coleman News

Keon Coleman Diagnosed With Sprained Foot/Toe

Tuesday, August 18, 10:39 AM

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman (foot/toe) has been diagnosed with a sprained foot/toe from Saturday's preseason opener against Carolina and is expected to miss some practice time. Coleman was in a walking boot on his right foot Tuesday, three days after catching a nine-yard touchdown from Josh Allen in Buffalo's 29-14 win. Head coach Joe Brady didn't sound overly concerned after the game, saying he believed Coleman would be fine while the team waited on the medical evaluation. Now there is a diagnosis, but still no return date. Coleman is heading into an important third season after catching 38 passes for 404 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games last year. He had put together a strong spring and summer before getting hurt. The walking boot makes the injury worth watching, but for now the only firm part is that Coleman will lose some practice time. How much remains unclear.

Jack Bech News

Can Jack Bech Remain Involved Despite Raiders' Wide Receiver Additions?

Sunday, August 16, 6:30 PM

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jack Bech seems like a natural fit for a Year 2 breakout, but the team's offseason moves could serve as an obstacle in his development. There are no flashy names in Vegas' receiver room, but the Raiders deliberately signed both Jalen Nailor and Noah Brown. Both receivers are veterans in the NFL, and they have the ability to serve as dependable (albeit not very flashy) targets for Kirk Cousins and, eventually, Fernando Mendoza. Although Bech might have more long-term upside than Nailor and Brown, he's not exactly a proven veteran target who can form a rapport with Cousins and Mendoza right away, so it would be tough to justify drafting him in redraft leagues. In addition to Nailor and Brown, he faces competition for targets from Tre Tucker and Dont'e Thornton. At this point, Bech is avoidable in most redraft leagues, but we would continue to stash him on the back end of dynasty rosters, as he still represents a key part of the Raiders' offense long-term.
