San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones (knee) re-aggravated an existing PCL sprain in his knee during the team's Week 3 win and is considered day-to-day with the injury, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. Jones has played well in relief of 49ers QB1 Brock Purdy (shoulder), throwing for 563 yards and four touchdowns across the team's last two games. Purdy was close to returning for Week 3, so it seems as though he should be on track to suit up for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Purdy's return would obviously nullify the impact of Jones' health status, but Jones' practice availability is still worth monitoring until Purdy is confirmed as good to go for Week 4.

The New York Giants are making rookie first-rounder Jaxson Dart their starting quarterback and will bench veteran Russell Wilson heading into a Week 4 contest this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Giants had a package of plays for Dart in the first three weeks, but he did not attempt a pass. Wilson threw for over 400 yards and three touchdowns in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys, but he looked washed up in the other two games and led the team to an 0-3 start. With both general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll on the hot seat in 2025, they will turn to Dart early on to try to save their jobs. The 22-year-old from Ole Miss looked great in the preseason, going 32-for-47 for 372 yards, three TDs, and no interceptions, but he'll face a swarming L.A. defense in his first NFL start this weekend. Dart should be rostered in two-QB superflex leagues, but expect growing pains with more tough opponents coming on the Giants' schedule.
