MarShawn Lloyd Won't Make Season Debut in Week 14

Friday, December 5, 5:12 PM

Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd (calf) has been ruled out and will not come off Injured Reserve to play on Sunday at Lambeau Field against the division-rival Chicago Bears in Week 14, according to the team. Lloyd finally returned to practice for the first time earlier this week, but he's not ready to play in games just yet. The 24-year-old former third-round pick in 2024 out of USC hasn't played at all this season and managed to suit up in just one game in his rookie campaign last year due to injuries. He has reportedly put in plenty of time and effort to get his body right so that he can hopefully put his injuries in the rearview mirror for good. The Packers had high hopes for Lloyd when they drafted him, but he just hasn't been able to stay on the field. It's unclear how much more time he'll need, but when he is activated from IR, he'll merely be vying for a backup role alongside Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks behind starter Josh Jacobs.

Blake Corum News

Blake Corum a Must-Add Off the Waiver Wire

Monday, December 8, 9:26 AM

Los Angeles Rams second-year running back out of Michigan, Blake Corum, dominated once again on Sunday, rushing for 128 yards on 12 carries (10.7 yards per carry) and two touchdowns in the Rams' 45-17 rout over the Arizona Cardinals. Corum has now scored three touchdowns in the past two weeks and has rushed for 209 yards on 19 carries over his past two weeks. Kyren Williams is still the starter in this explosive Rams offense, but Corum is making his case for a potential takeover and to become a league winner down the stretch. The Rams have publicly stated that they are interested in limiting Williams' workload as the team prepares for its playoff run. Regardless, Corum has seen his workload ramp up over the past five weeks, and he is one of, if not the top handcuff, in fantasy football going into the fantasy playoffs. Even without the handcuff, he is providing RB3/flex value based on his pure production and projected 8-10 carries and 30-35 percent snap share. He is a must-add off the waiver wire if he is currently out there in any of your leagues.
