Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater (quadriceps) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, according to Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. Prater was a DNP in the first practice of the week on Wednesday after he aggravated a right-quad injury in the Week 18 regular-season finale against the New York Jets. The 41-year-old veteran missed Weeks 16 and 17 due to the injury, but it appears he's making good progress and will have a good chance to play on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wild-Card round of the playoffs. As a fallback option, Buffalo signed Matthew Wright to their practice squad on Tuesday. Prater seemingly is on the right side of questionable for this weekend's game right now, but he'll be a pretty risky fantasy option against a Jags team that allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing kickers in 2025.

New England Patriots kicker Andy Borregales has been one of the most impressive rookie special teamers in the NFL this season, and he's likely headed for another high-scoring performance against the New York Jets in Week 17. Borregales has made 13 field goals and 14 extra points over his last five games, and he hasn't missed a kick in two games since the bye week. He has been the 10th-highest-scoring kicker in fantasy football this year, and he's surging just in time for the culmination of the fantasy playoffs. He should also benefit from an extremely enticing matchup against the Jets, who have allowed the most fantasy points to kickers in 2025. The stars are aligning for Borregales to be a top-five fantasy kicker this week. He should be started in all leagues.
