Michael Pittman Jr. OK But Likely to be Held Out of Minicamp With Knee Injury

Thursday, June 5, 11:30 PM

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (knee) had an initial injury scare in voluntary OTA practice on Thursday when he bumped knees with a defender, but he's expected to be OK, a source told FOX 59's Mike Chappell. Pittman is sore and expected to be fine, but he'll likely be held out of mandatory minicamp next week as a precaution. The initial thought was that the 27-year-old former second-round pick (34th overall) in 2020 out of USC was dealing with another back injury, which was something he battled through for the majority of the 2024 campaign. He should be ready to go for training camp this summer as he looks to bounce back from a 69-808-3 line in 16 games (14 starts) in 2024. Pittman still has WR2 upside, but as a possession receiver, his best-case scenario for fantasy upside in 2025 is if Daniel Jones wins the QB battle over Anthony Richardson (shoulder).

Marvin Mims Jr. Aiming for Another Pro Bowl Selection

Saturday, June 21, 8:40 PM

Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. is aiming for another trip to the Pro Bowl. "When you're hitting a streak, why not keep it going," said Mims, referring to his two Pro Bowl selections in his first two years in the National Football League. "I'm excited." Without question, his contributions as a return specialist can't be denied. However, fantasy managers hope he'll make more noise for his accomplishments on the receiving end. The 23-year-old looked better in his sophomore campaign, finishing with 39 receptions for 503 yards and six touchdowns. The Broncos added J.K. Dobbins and Evan Engram this offseason, two players who will command attention from second-year signal-caller Bo Nix. Courtland Sutton is still on the roster and is coming off his first 1,000-yard receiving season since 2019. With that said, it's still reasonable to assume Mims could remain involved and improve even more this season, so he'll be worth considering in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.
