Michael Wilson Nothing More Than a Dart Throw in Week 1

Saturday, September 6, 10:52 AM

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson has been quite disappointing through the first two seasons of his career. He was healthier last season and suited up for three more games than his rookie year, yet he put up fewer yards and only one more touchdown with 13 more targets and nine more receptions. He's borderline third/fourth in the receiving pecking order if you include the backfield, after James Conner saw 55 targets compared to Wilson's 71. In Week 1, Wilson is better left off of fantasy lineups, unless it's a very deep league. Currently, RotoBaller has him projected as WR67 with 6.3 fantasy points against a weaker defense in the New Orleans Saints.

Brock Bowers Locked in as Elite TE1 for Week 1

Friday, September 5, 8:02 PM

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers enters his sophomore season as the unquestioned centerpiece of the offense after an electric rookie year in which he posted 112 receptions, 1,194 yards, and five touchdowns. With Geno Smith now under center and Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly looking to energize the passing game, Bowers projects as fantasy football's No. 1 tight end for 2025. His elite route-running and after-the-catch ability make him matchup-proof, and his Week 1 outlook is even stronger against a Patriots defense likely missing top cornerback Christian Gonzalez and lacking proven playmakers in the secondary. Among a receiving corps still finding its identity, Bowers is the safest bet and a locked-in every-week TE1.
