Mike Evans News
Thursday, September 10, 11:21 PM
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver made good on the hype surrounding his signing in Thursday night's 27-7 win over the Los Angeles Rams. Evans brought in six of his seven targets for 49 yards and one touchdown in the season opener. Evans was involved early and often on pivotal plays, converting four third downs in the first half (three on the first drive alone). His lone missed target came on a third-and-three just before halftime. Evans' lone catch in the second half was a two-yard touchdown that helped the 49ers pull away. With his size and abilities as a receiver, it is easy to see Evans becoming a preferred target for quarterback Brock Purdy in the weeks to come. In Week 2, Evans will get a plum matchup against the Miami Dolphins at home.

Michael Wilson News
Saturday, September 12, 6:05 AM
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson broke out in 2025, recording 78 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns on 126 targets. His efforts during Marvin Harrison's injury-related absences were recently rewarded with a three-year, $75 million contract extension. Such a substantial investment suggests a potential changing of the guard at the top of the depth chart, but that can't be taken for granted now that Harrison is healthy. We will get our first look at how the receiving work will be divided in Sunday's season opener against the Chargers. With Jeremiyah Love (ankle) a game-time decision and Arizona a nine-point underdog, it is fair to assume the team will lean into the pass, in which case Wilson should see enough targets to be a viable fantasy option. Given the uncertainty of his role relative to Harrison, both receivers can be expected to eat into each other's work, making Wilson no more than a WR3 candidate in Week 1.
