Miles Sanders Week-To-Week With Severely Sprained Ankle

Wednesday, November 20, 3:35 PM

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (ankle) said he has a severely sprained left ankle and is considered week-to-week. Sanders isn't going to rush things and is not expected to play in Week 12 this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. The 27-year-old unsurprisingly did not practice on Wednesday after he was carted off in the Week 10 overtime win over the New York Giants in Week 10 in Germany. The Panthers were on bye in Week 11. Sanders had very limited fantasy appeal as the backup to Chuba Hubbard in Carolina before his injury, and he'll have even less fantasy appeal whenever he makes it back from his ankle injury with rookie Jonathon Brooks (knee) fully expected to make his NFL debut this weekend. In 12-team fantasy leagues, Sanders should be on the waiver wire for the remainder of the season.

Patrick Taylor News

Patrick Taylor Jr. Remaining With 49ers

Tuesday, November 12, 9:37 PM

San Francisco 49ers running back Patrick Taylor Jr. was waived by the team last week to make room for Christian McCaffrey on the active roster. However, Taylor is back with the organization less than a week later. It appears Taylor was decided to rejoin the practice squad after clearing waivers this week. This move doesn't mean much right now considering Taylor has seven carries for 25 yards on the season. He's nice depth to have given the how often running backs get injured in San Francisco. He figures to fall behind Jordan Mason and Isaac Guerendo in the pecking order for backups, so fantasy managers can ignore Taylor.
