Less than 24 hours after releasing Nathan Peterman, the Chicago Bears have re-signed the veteran quarterback to the active roster. Peterman will presumably be the Bears' backup to Justin Fields in Week 3 against the Buccaneers. Undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent will serve as the emergency quarterback. The 29-year-old Peterman has played in 13 games in his five-year NFL career.

Fresh off of the QB1 performance against the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is now tasked with facing one of the stingiest defenses in football. He'll have to do so without running back Saquon Barkley (ankle). The good news is that teams are abandoning the run quickly against San Francisco through the first two weeks of the season. If that's the case, the Giants' signal caller will be called upon to carry the offense. Still, against another sturdy defense in Dallas in Week 1, Jones' chances to score never came. He's not a starter for fantasy managers in single QB leagues and is a low-end QB2 in Superflex leagues this week.
Still trying to decide between Peterman and Jones? Check on the latest news to make sure both players are active and healthy. Our PPR projections show that Nathan Peterman is projected to score 0.0 points this week while Daniel Jones is projected to score 25.1 points.
