Nick Chubb has Retired After Eight Seasons

Friday, August 21, 5:55 PM

According to Tom Pelissero, free-agent running back Nick Chubb has decided to retire from the NFL after eight seasons. Before his gruesome leg injury, Chubb was one of the most feared backs in the league. He earned four Pro Bowl appearances and second-team All-Pro honors during his playing time with the Cleveland Browns. He was selected in the second-round by Cleveland during the 2018 draft. He rushed for 7,349 yards, scoring 54 touchdowns, while snagging 141 receptions for 1,109 receiving yards, and five additional scores through the air. He spent most of his time with the Browns before playing with the Houston Texans in 2025. Best of luck to the 30-year-old on whatever he decides to do after football.

Nico Collins News

Kayshon Boutte Is Set for a Bigger Role Without Nico Collins

Saturday, September 19, 3:46 AM

Houston Texans wide receiver Kayshon Boutte only made one catch in Week 1, but he'll need to be much more involved in Week 2, since Nico Collins (hamstring) is out. In his Texans debut, Boutte played 46% of snaps in Week 1, which was the third-highest total of Houston's WRs. He only had two targets and made one catch for 21 yards. C.J. Stroud will have to lean on Boutte, Jayline Noel, and Xavier Hutchinson much more in Week 2 after Collins dominated the target share with 10 looks in Week 1. Boutte definitely brings potential as a boom-or-bust deep-ball specialist, and more chances could result in him stepping into a larger role in Houston's offense for the rest of the year. He has a high ceiling without Collins, but he's still only RotoBaller's WR No. 46, so he's still only worth starting in deep leagues or if you are desperate for a FLEX play.
