Robert Woods Active For Divisional Round

Saturday, January 18, 3:08 PM

According to the team, Houston Texans wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) is officially active for Saturday's playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Woods was unable to practice all week due to a hip injury but was able to turn the corner in time to face the reigning champions. Last weekend, during their wild-card victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, Woods caught four of his two targets for 22 yards. Over his previous four contests, the veteran wideout has begun to find a role in the Houston passing attack with Tank Dell (knee) sidelined. During this stretch, he has seen 3.8 targets per game and has been deployed as the clear No.3 wideout on the depth chart. Woods is worth a look as a WR3 in DFS formats in this contest.

Derius Davis Could Have A Role On Wild Card Weekend

Thursday, January 9, 9:40 PM

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Derius Davis could find himself with an expanded role in a Wild Card Round matchup against the Houston Texans on Saturday. Davis went on a solid hot streak near the end of the season, scoring touchdowns in Weeks 16 and 17. With Joshua Palmer (foot) ruled out and Quentin Johnston (thigh/illness) questionable, Davis could be needed to work alongside Ladd McConkey and D.J. Chark. Davis hasn't seen more than 37% of the team's offensive snaps in any game this season, and he averaged somewhere around 16%, so even with the injuries ahead of him, he shouldn't be expected to take on an enormous role. Still, he could be a value pick in playoff fantasy contests who happens to find himself in the end zone.
