Who Should I Start? Robert Woods or Tyler Lockett

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released veteran wide receiver Robert Woods from their practice squad, per an announcement from the team. Woods played in 15 games for the Houston Texans in 2024, recording 20 catches for 203 yards. The 33-year-old has been a steadily productive NFL receiver for over a decade, but he could be nearing the end of the road. Pittsburgh does not have much proven wide receiver depth behind top wideout DK Metcalf, so giving up on Woods could be telling of just how little juice the veteran has left in the tank. Even if Woods signs elsewhere, he should remain off the fantasy radar in 2025.

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett had his best game of the season during their Week 11 loss to the Denver Broncos, catching five of six targets for 44 yards in his second game with the team. Lockett reunited with Raiders head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Geno Smith, signing with the team on October 27. The 33-year-old wasn't productive in his short stint with the Tennessee Titans, catching just 10 of 21 targets for 70 yards in seven games. The veteran showed that he still has something left in the tank against the Broncos, with his five receptions being the most since Week 3 of last season with the Seahawks. Lockett has familiarity with Smith and should have the opportunity to run plenty of routes after the Raiders traded Jakobi Meyers to Jacksonville. Lockett could be a target off the waiver wire in deeper leagues for Week 11.
