Russell Wilson Throws Three More Touchdowns

Sunday, October 1, 10:19 PM

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson didn't have his third straight 300-yard game on Sunday, but he did throw three more touchdowns without turning the ball over to lead the team to a big 31-28 come-from-behind win over the Bears on the road in Chicago for their first victory of the season. Wilson finished the contest 21-for-28 for 223 yards while taking one sack for a loss of nine yards. He added four carries for 13 yards. The 34-year-old signal-caller now has nine touchdown passes to only two interceptions through the first four games with new head coach Sean Payton. The Broncos may not be a playoff team, but Payton's influence has certainly had a positive impact on Wilson and has made him a QB1 streaming option in good matchups. Week 5 against the New York Jets will be more of a shy-away matchup, however.

Nathan Peterman Brought Back To Chicago

Thursday, September 21, 9:13 AM

Less than 24 hours after releasing Nathan Peterman, the Chicago Bears have re-signed the veteran quarterback to the active roster. Peterman will presumably be the Bears' backup to Justin Fields in Week 3 against the Buccaneers. Undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent will serve as the emergency quarterback. The 29-year-old Peterman has played in 13 games in his five-year NFL career.
