Detroit Lions quarterback Teddy Bridgewater took it to his former team, the Carolina Panthers, in preseason action Friday night, leading four scoring drives for Detroit (2-1) in their 26-17 win. He completed 13-of-22 attempts for 178 yards, including a 70-yard catch-and-run touchdown pass to rookie Antoine Green in the closing seconds of the first half. In a captivating game, Teddy Bridgewater showcased his precision and decision-making, connecting on key passes that drove his team down the field. Bridgewater's reliability makes him a solid handcuff for Jared Goff owners in all fantasy leagues.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced on Monday that quarterback Joshua Dobbs will make another start under center in Week 2 against the New York Giants. Dobbs wasn't good at all in the season opener on Sunday in a 20-16 loss to the Washington Commanders, going 21-for-30 for 132 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He carried the ball three times for a loss of three yards and also fumbled three times, losing two of them. It was just the 28-year-old's third NFL start, though, and it came against a pretty tough defense. Dobbs will have the opportunity to bounce back this weekend against a Giants D that just allowed 40 points to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. Still, Dobbs should be viewed as only a desperation QB2 play in deep superflex leagues.
