The Cleveland Browns announced on Thursday that they re-signed cornerback Tony Brown (foot) to an undisclosed deal. Brown played in a career-low six games (no starts) in his first year with the Browns in 2024 due to a season-ending foot injury that landed him on Injured Reserve in late October. In those six games, he had just five tackles (two solo) and a forced fumble. The 29-year-old former undrafted free agent out of the University of Alabama played all 135 of his snaps with Cleveland on special teams and will likely resume that role with them in training camp this summer. In six NFL seasons with the Browns, Colts, Packers and Bengals, Brown has only 80 tackles (56 solo), one sack, one interception, seven pass breakups and four forced fumbles in 67 games played (five starts).

Free-agent wide receiver Marquez Callaway is reportedly expected to sign a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This seems like an odd move given the Bucs do have a crowded receiver room. Callaway last played with the New Orleans Saints during the 2023 season. His best season came in 2021 when he hauled in 46 receptions for 698 yards and six touchdowns. Since then, Callaway hasn't done much on the field and figures to be depth on the practice squad. It would take a few injuries at wide receiver for Callaway to start making an impact in Tampa Bay.
