Tony Pollard News

Tony Pollard a Reliable Option

Saturday, October 24, 7:30 AM

Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard has recorded at least 14 carries in five straight games, including a season-best 19 carries for 76 yards during a win over the Indianapolis Colts last week. In Week 7, Pollard faces a Cleveland Browns rush defense that has been middle of the pack this season, allowing 112.3 yards rushing per game, which is ranked 17th in the NFL. Last week, Cleveland did a nice job against Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry, limiting Henry to just 58 yards rushing on 17 carries, while holding the Ravens to 3.8 yards per carry as a team. Fellow Titans running back Tyjae Spears is questionable against the Browns due to a knee injury that left him limited during Friday's practice. If Spears can't play vs. Cleveland, that could mean even more work for Pollard, particularly in the passing game, where Pollard hasn't recorded a reception in his past two games.

Omar Cooper Jr. News

Omar Cooper Jr. Strong Stremaing Option vs. Dolphins

Saturday, October 24, 2:55 PM

New York Jets wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. looks to build off of his Week 6 performance, in which he recorded six receptions (on seven targets) for 103 yards (17.2 yards per reception) and a touchdown. The touchdown came on a 48-yard reception in the 26-19 loss to the Patriots. That was Cooper's first appearance since he suffered an ankle injury in the Week 1 win over the Tennessee Titans and was forced to miss the following four games after being placed on injured reserve. Cooper is currently available in 53% of Yahoo leagues and faces a Miami Dolphins defense in Week 7 that allows 219.2 passing yards per game. Cooper has competition for targets in the passing game with fellow wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell, and tight ends Mason Taylor and Kenyon Sadiq, but he should be in line for his fair share of targets.
