New York Jets quarterback Trevor Siemian, who was signed to the practice squad on Tuesday, will be inactive in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Saleh knows that Siemian is a fast learner, but he will not say how long it will take before he's ready to play. For most Jets fans and apparently some of the players, New York can't replace the struggling Zach Wilson fast enough. Wilson will probably be playing for his starting spot this weekend in a tough matchup against the defending Super Bowl-champion Chiefs. Siemian, 31, has started 30 NFL games in six NFL seasons, but he hasn't won a game since 2017 and won't necessarily be an upgrade over Wilson or Tim Boyle, the other signal-caller on the Jets' roster.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was on point Sunday at Levi's Stadium as he led his team to a 35-16 victory against the Arizona Cardinals. Purdy, 23, completed all but one of his 21 pass attempts for 283 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. He also added a fourth-quarter touchdown on a quarterback sneak. The performance marks the 12th straight victory for Purdy and he still hasn't thrown an interception in 112 attempts this season. Next up is a tough test for Purdy as he faces an elite Dallas Cowboys defense in a huge Week 5 Sunday night contest.
