Who Should I Start? Van Jefferson or Roman Wilson

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Van Jefferson recorded 102 yards and a touchdown on three catches in his team's 23-13 preseason victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Friday. Jefferson scored a 65-yard touchdown on a long catch-and-run in the second quarter. The 29-year-old is entering his first season in Tennessee after logging 24 catches for 276 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. Jefferson projects to open the season as the WR3 in Tennessee alongside veterans Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett. However, he may struggle to hold off the team's pair of fourth-round rookie wide receivers, Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike. Jefferson should be off the radar of fantasy managers in 2025.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson finished with two receptions for 72 yards on four targets in a 17-14 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The second-year pro did all of his damage in the contest's opening quarter. He ran past multiple defenders to secure a 42-yard deep ball from Mason Rudolph and later found space on a crossing route to gain 30 yards on a pass from Skylar Thompson. After a rookie season plagued by injuries, Wilson has shown promise heading into the 2025-2026 campaign. With teammate Calvin Austin III (abdomen) currently injured, Wilson has a clear path to earning the WR2 role behind D.K. Metcalf. The 24-year-old will look to build on this strong performance in Pittsburgh's final exhibition game against the Carolina Panthers.
