Zach Charbonnet Could Have Larger Role in Seattle

Saturday, August 30, 8:30 AM

Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet had a great training camp, according to The Athletic's Jeff Howe, and he could have a larger role in the team's offense after Kenneth Walker III missed significant time while dealing with a foot injury. With Klint Kubiak in place as the team's new offensive coordinator, the team will likely have a renewed focus on the run game, and Charbonnet and Walker could both be solid fantasy options at times this season. Last year, Charbonnet had 569 rushing yards on 135 carries while adding 42 catches for 340 receiving yards, all new career highs in his second season out of UCLA. He also found the end zone nine times. Charbonnet is the RB32 in the RotoBaller rankings and is a very solid RB3 with RB2 upside if he does indeed seize a larger role in Seattle's backfield after his strong camp.

Jaylen Wright Undergoes Surgery, Could be Back "Septemberish"

Thursday, August 28, 12:05 PM

Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright (leg) had surgery on his injured leg and could be back "Septemberish," according to head coach Mike McDaniel. Wright is not out for the entire season, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. The 22-year-old is expected to miss multiple week, although an exact timetable is not known. With De'Von Achane (calf) also battling a nagging calf injury that could put him up in the air for Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts, it's possible that rookie Ollie Gordon II could serve as Miami's primary ball-carrier to open the 2025 regular season. Achane and Wright should still be drafted in all fantasy formats, but these injuries have also made Gordon much more intriguing as a late-round flier, especially as a handcuff to Achane. Wright has not gone on Injured Reserve, which means Miami thinks he can return within the first four weeks of the season.
