Thursday Night Football DFS Picks: 49ers at Seahawks

Thursday Night Football is back with an NFC West matchup. The 49ers have dropped three of their last four games and will need to get back on track this week against the Seahawks. It’s projected to be one of the higher-scoring TNF games we have seen thus far, with an over/under of 49.5. Outside of kicker Jake Moody, who has been ruled out, there isn’t much injury news heading into this game.

When it comes to building a showdown lineup, it’s important to make sure that it correlates. If your captain is a wide receiver, you want his quarterback as one of your FLEX players. Same goes for if you have a quarterback as your captain. In this case, you’re going to want 2-3 pass catchers to go along with the quarterback.

In this article, I will rank the players according to how much exposure I’m going to have. Each game will feature 2-3 options at captain, which are high-priority plays, followed by flex options to round it out.

Captain

RB Jordan Mason ($15,300) While Mason leads the way in pricing this week, it’s not nearly as much as other slates. We just saw Tyrone Tracy run all over this Seahawks defense just one week after they got gashed by both Jahmyr Gibbs, and David Montgomery. Mason has also dominated the 49ers backfield in snaps. His 75.3% snap share is the third highest of all running backs this season.

WR Brandon Aiyuk ($12,600) Right when Brandon Aiyuk hits his stride, we get a discount? He's coming off of a 8-147 game on 12 targets and is priced below both DK Metcalf and Deebo Samuel. Sign me up.

FLEX

QB Brock Purdy ($9,400) Looks like it's a heavy 49ers week. Purdy has had at least 15 DraftKings points in each of his past four games.

RB Zach Charbonnet ($3,400) Even with the return of Kenneth Walker III, Charbonnet has still managed to play at least 35% of the offensive snaps in the past two weeks. We get him at an extremely low price on a slate that lacks value. If you’re going lower than him, Fant is as far as you should look.

WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($7,000) He only has one game this year with over 20 DraftKings points, but has remained involved. He’s $2,000 less than DK Metcalf and has out-snapped him in two of the past three games.

TE Noah Fant ($3,000) Mentioned above that Charbonnet is my preference, but willing to go down to Fant in some spots. AJ Barner does get some work, but Fant has been the tight end they have leaned on.

DST 49ers ($4,200) They’ve scored over 11 DraftKings points in each of the past two games and have an interception in every game but one. Mixing them in before a kicker.
