Signing with Jags

Harris (pectoral) is signing with the Jaguars on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Analysis: Harris will head to Jacksonville after two seasons with the Rams after Los Angeles selected him in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The wide receiver operated mostly as a special-teams option over those two campaigns, totaling just 16 offensive snaps while catching one pass for six yards. The 26-year-old will likely operate as a depth option at wide receiver and slot in on special teams again in 2023 with the Jaguars.

Goes to IR

The Rams placed Harris (pectoral) on their injured reserve list Monday.

Analysis: Harris sustained a torn pectoral during the Rams' win versus Las Vegas on Thursday, which means he'll probably spend the remainder of the 2022 season on the injured reserve list. The 2021 fourth-rounder should end his sophomore season having caught his only target for six yards on his lone offensive snap.

Needs surgery

Harris suffered a torn pectoral in Thursday's win over Las Vegas and will need surgery, Greg Beacham of The Associated Press reports.

Analysis: Harris' season is likely over after tearing his pectoral and will presumably head to IR after undergoing surgery. The 2021 fourth-round pick appeared in seven games this year, securing his only catch for six yards during his lone offensive snap. Given Harris played primarily on special teams, his expected absence shouldn't have a major impact on the Rams offense.

Doubtful to return to TNF

Harris is doubtful to return to Thursday's game against the Raiders with a shoulder injury.

Analysis: Harris did log a statistic before exiting against Las Vegas. The second-year wideout logged a reception on his lone target over six games coming into Week 14, and he's almost exclusively played on special teams this season. However, Harris' absence will leave the Rams' already depleted receiving corps even more under-manned Thursday night.

Locks on with LA

Harris signed a contract with the Rams on Saturday.

Analysis: Harris has frequently bounced between the practice squad and active roster this season, but with Cooper Kupp (ankle) sidelined for an extended period, the second-year receiver will get a coveted roster spot. Harris has played special teams for the majority of the season, and that's not expected to change in the coming weeks.

Reverts to practice squad

Harris reverted to the Rams' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Analysis: Harris played all 18 of his snaps on special teams Sunday after being elevated from the practice squad for the third time this season. As a result, the 2021 fourth-round pick will now require a permanent spot on the active roster in order to suit up again for the Rams this season. Harris has yet to record a catch during his NFL career, and he'll likely need to carve out a prominent special-teams role in order to land a contract moving forward.

Elevated to active roster again

The Rams elevated Harris on Saturday from their practice squad to their active roster for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Analysis: Harris has been elevated from the Rams' practice squad for the third and final time, meaning he'll have to be signed to the active roster if he's going to make any appearances for Los Angeles beyond Week 5. The second-year wideout has played primarily on special teams during his first two appearances and figures to garner a similar role against Dallas on Sunday.

Goes back to practice squad

Harris reverted to the Rams' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Analysis: Harris was with the active roster once again in Week 3, chipping in on special teams during the Rams' 20-12 win over the Cardinals. He recorded one tackle while on punt coverage, but he never saw any work with the offense.

Will be active at Arizona

The Rams elevated Harris from their practice squad Saturday for Week 3, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports.

Analysis: It will be the second consecutive week Harris is active for the Rams after he played just one offensive snap in Week 2. After Sunday's game at the Cardinals, he will only be eligible for one more elevation from the practice squad before he would have to be signed to the team's active roster in order to play.

Moves back to practice squad

Harris reverted to the Rams' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Analysis: Harris was moved up to the Rams' active roster Saturday ahead of the team's matchup with the Falcons, though he failed to see a single target while playing just one offensive snap compared to 12 special-teams snaps Sunday. The second-year wideout served a similar role over nine games with Los Angeles last season, playing 133 of his 148 total snaps on special teams. Harris will now be eligible for two more such gameday elevations from the Rams' practice squad this season.

Bumped up to active roster

The Rams elevated Harris from the practice squad to their active roster for Sunday's contest against the Falcons.

Analysis: Harris didn't make the initial 53-man roster but signed a practice-squad deal at the beginning of September. The 2021 fourth-round pick appeared in nine games as a rookie, playing mainly on special teams. He'll likely garner a similar role during his potential season debut in Week 2.
