In three preseason games, the ex-Washington Husky passed for 277 yards and one touchdown on 32 completions. He also threw two interceptions. He also completed all six of his passing attempts, and, unlike Trevor Siemian, he threw a touchdown, finding Andrei Iosivas with a seven-yard throw near the end of the first quarter. The 27-year-old entered training camp as the presumed No. 3 signal-caller on the depth chart. However, considering he's played better than Siemian this preseason, at least in some areas, it appears Zac Taylor has some decisions to make heading into the Week 1 opener against the Cleveland Browns.

Veteran signal-caller Trevor Siemian was the favorite to earn the job heading into training camp. However, Browning has played the best out of the duo, even though neither man has impressed anyone during the Bengals' exhibition contests. Nonetheless, under normal circumstances, the battle between Browning and Siemian wouldn't mean much. But considering Joe Burrow (calf) isn't a lock for Week 1, the backup quarterback competition in Cincinnati is something to watch.

The 27-year-old has two picks throughout the preseason and hasn't thrown a touchdown toss. However, Trevor Siemian, the favorite to claim the No. 2 spot on the depth chart, hasn't played much better, so Browning has done enough to remain in the running for the job. With Joe Burrow (calf) on the shelf, Browning could draw fantasy interest from those in deep Superflex setups if he starts in Week 1, especially with Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd as his primary targets.
