Marshall has been suspended for the first four games of the NFL's regular season, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: It's unclear what prompted a suspension from the league, but he won't be able to suit up in NFL action the first four weeks of the season. The suspension could be the reason that Marshall was let go by the Raiders on May 9. The Ohio State product recently inked a contract in the CFL, so it's likely he won't be on another NFL roster any time soon.
Marshall was released by the Raiders on Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.
Analysis: Marshall signed a one-year deal with Oakland on May 7, and now -- two days later -- has been released. The Ohio State product's most recent football experience was with the Orlando Apollos in the now-defunct AAF, and now Marshall will have to find another NFL squad's roster spot to compete for.
Marshall signed a one-year contract with the Raiders on Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Analysis: Marshall was with the Jets's practice squad in 2017 before signing a reserve/future contract in early 2018, and he was then waived prior to the start of the season. He most recently was with the Orlando Apollos of the AAF before the league was disbanded and will now attempt to make an NFL comeback in Oakland.
